Patti writes: My Gary, to put it simply, was the love of my life. I knew I loved him the first day I saw him. One thing everyone loved about Gary was his sense of humor. It was a bit obscure, but suited him well. He had the most beautiful smile and a wonderful laugh. Gary loved our family. We decided on having a family a little later in life. We were so blessed to have had two beautiful children, Zoe and Jake. They meant everything to him. His face would light up by just mentioning their names. He was with me when they were born. It was amazing and so was he – we were such a great team. Gary knew what his family needed to be happy and secure. He loved us, whole-heartedly. Gary was always smiling and positive. He wanted everyone to get along. He was a sincere friend and would do anything to help others. He was forgiving and did not hold grudges. He let things go. I loved that quality.
Gary enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to entertain, and did it so well. Gary loved his music and was very proud of his extensive collection. We had songs which we would sing and dance to, signifying special times in our lives. My children will continue with that love. One thing everyone knows about him is that he can cook! Barbecuing was his favorite. He took much pride in this. Gary also loved our vacations to Carlsbad. We loved going to San Diego throughout the year. That was our second home. We always looked forward to seeing our dear friends and being together. Gary loved so much. It is hard to put it into words. He loved life, his family and friends. I will love him always. My children will know what a wonderful Father they have.
