George Patrick Raya, 82, was born on October 1, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Erasto D. Raya and Angeline Hererra, and entered into eternal rest on December 3, 2021 in South El Monte, California.
George attended El Monte High School. He was active in football, and track and field. He loved boating and skiing. He loved to travel to places like Hawaii, Cancun, New Orleans, New Mexico and went on two cruises. One to Fanning Island and the other to the Mexican Riviera.
He was a member of the "Old School Friends Club" in El Monte, which raised funds for the Rio Hondo Student Scholarship Fund.
George loved watching old western movies on TV. He was a carpenter for over 40 years and built his own home from the ground up.
He raised 6 children and had 6 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
