Gerardo Smith, 68, was born on March 16, 1954 in Nogales, Arizona to Armida Moreno Smith and Alfonso Smith. Gerardo entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2022 in Whittier, California.
Gerardo dedicated 33 years of hard work, helping many people and making lifelong friends working as a dock worker. He enjoyed fishing, music (specifically salsa), being with family, barbequing, and most of all spreading the word of God. Gerardo was a prayer warrior, he loved reading the Bible and sharing the scripture.
Gerardo is survived by his loving family, Wife- Michelle Smith, Daughters- Nadine Soulet and Monique Leckey, Son- Josh Smith, Son-in-laws- Rene Soulet and Eric Leckey, Daughter-in-law- Veronica Smith, Mother- Armida Smith, Father- Alfonso Smith, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Gerardo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gerardo was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his Sister, Lety as well as other family members.
Gerardo's Celebration of Life will be held on January 14, 2023 at Calvery Chapel Downey with his Graveside Service to follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park. There will be a Reception to follow all services.
