Gil Rosario Deguzman

Gil Rosario De Guzman, age 93 years old, of Tayug, Pangasinan Luzon, Philippines, died December 17, 2017, at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
Mr. De Guzman was born March 20, 1924, in Tayug, Pangasinan, to Pascual and Balbina Rosario De Guzman.
Mr. De Guzman joined the U.S. Naval Services in 1945 age 21 and retired in 1971 as a Chief Petty Officer; E7 and enjoyed cooking for Admiral Wooding’s many parties. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca M. De Guzman and his 5 children; Evelyn D. Dotson (Fred), Yvonne D. Lancaster (Alan), Pascual M. De Guzman (Annie), Arlene D. Coronel (Joseph), Gilbert M. De Guzman (Grace) and predeceased oldest daughter Josphine D. Carrera (Sagrado). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; Jessica, Jasmine, Jennifer, Desiree, Adia, Casimir, Dominic, Crystal, Teodora, Gil Ryan, Dan, Jonathan, Jacob, Phoebe, Mario, and Sophia, and 9 great grandchildren; Jordan, Jianna, Elijah, Jared, Mia, Elise, Mila, Arianna and Jedidiah.
He was the youngest of 6 children predeceased by his siblings: Augustin De Guzman Sr, Flora D. Guitterz, Olympia R. De Guzman, Florenda D. Dacanay, and Jose R. De Guzman. He also leaves numerous nephews and nieces.
