Glenmore Gareth Schwarz was born in South Los Angeles, CA to Henry and Eva Marie Schwarz on July 5, 1927. He passed peacefully in his home in Downey on January 12, 2022. He was 94.

Glen was an only child and attended George Washington High School in Los Angeles. He joined the United States Navy during his senior year and proudly served his country from 1945-1946. Shortly after his Honorable Discharge, Glen met and married his first wife, Erma Lee Perkins. The marriage lasted only a short time and in 1950, Glen met Emma Mosier, who was working as a drive-in carhop. They wed three weeks later on April 10, 1950 and remained married for 64 years, until Emma’s passing on January 8, 2015.

In 1953, Glen and Emma bought a house under construction in a new development in Downey. They lived in the same house the rest of their lives. Glen worked for Brinks Armored Transport, in various positions, for 35 years. After his retirement, he and Emma enjoyed cruising and traveling around the world. He also found a hobby in model railroading and enjoyed collecting trains and constructing a large model railroad scene in his back patio.
