Graciela Marta Olivares, 70, was born in Mexico on July 28, 1941 and passed away at her home in Rosemead, surrounded by her family on November 22, 2011.
Graciela was previously a Caretaker for the Roybal Foundation for 12 years. She was very involved in the women's movement in the 1970's and was an avid speaker, as well as involved with TELACU. She loved her cat.
She is survived by her sons, David Olivares of Long Beach, Arthur Olivares of Rosemead, Henry Olivares of Commerce and Ruben Olivares of Los Angeles, and her daughters, Cynthia Olivares of Rosemead and Blanca Olivares of Montebello. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and her sisters, Aurora and America Salazar and her brother, Orlando Salazar, all of Mexico.
Services are private and interment will take place in Mexico.
