Gregory Joseph Ojeda, 40, was born on February 14, 1983, in La Mirada, California to Jose and Laura Ojeda. Gregory entered into his eternal rest on January 11, 2024.
Gregory was a man with a passion for the classics, particularly in music. His playlist was adorned with the timeless beats of RUN DMC, Wu-Tang Clan, Tupac, and many other artists of the early rap era. Beyond music, Gregory found joy in the camaraderie of sports, passionately supporting teams like the Lakers, Dodgers, and especially the Raiders. A dedicated spectator, he relished watching games and cheering for his favorite teams. Another one of Gregory's fascinations was shoes, with a particular liking for Nike and Jordan brands.
Professionally, he was a skilled barber, a true master of his craft, bringing joy to hundreds through his talent. Artistry also flowed through Gregory's veins; he dabbled in painting, creating small yet intricate emblem pieces for shirts and hands. His artistic journey began early, earning him his first award in the 6th grade. Among his cherished possessions was his 1985 Camaro, reflecting his love for cars. However, nothing compared to the special place in his heart reserved for his grandfather. Lastly, Gregory held a deep affection for someone he called his angel – Sany, who was exceptionally dear to him.
Gregory expressed his deep love for his sisters, underlining the strong and cherished bond they share as siblings. His expressions of affection towards his aunts, uncles, and cousins were genuine and warm, reflecting a caring and close-knit family dynamic.
Gregory is survived by his loving family: Mother, Laura Jean Ojeda, Sisters, Natalia Marie Ojeda and Alijah Noel Ojeda, Nieces and Nephews, Freddie Efrain Nunez, Anthony Daniel Nunez, Sofia Penelope Nunez, Richard Ty Martinez, Phoenix Paige Quijada, and Maximus Frankie Quijada, Girlfriend, Sany Au, Godparents/Aunt and Uncle, Belinda and Nelson Molina, Aunts, Roberta Heuermann, Lisa Trujillo, and Irma Ibarra, Uncles, Thomas Castaneda, Robert Castaneda, Ernest Castaneda, and Steven Trujillo, and numerous cousins. Gregory will be greatly missed by everyone who got the opportunity to know and love him.
Gregory was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his grandparents, Gregory Angel Castaneda and Josephine Peggy Castaneda.
