Guadalupe Ruvalcaba Bojorquez (88) was born on August 5, 1931 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Damaso Garcia and Maria Ruvalcaba and entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2020 in Monterey Park, California.
Born in Rancho Gabriel Lopez, Zacatecas, Mexico, Guadalupe was always a strong tenacious little girl. At the age of 5 years old, she began caring for cows all alone in the Sierra. Guadalupe often fondly recalled these moments spent in the Siera with her sister Belen. Guadalupe always had an affinity for adventure, from childhood tree-climbing adventures in Zacatecas to her worldly travels in adult life, Guadalupe always sought to see more in life. At the young age of fourteen, Guadalupe married the first love of her life, Adolfo Garcia, with whom she shared six beautiful children. At the age of 32, Guadalupe was widowed, yet persevered with the unwavering support of her sisters. Guadalupe was an incredible mother who insisted on protecting the safety of her children while providing for them. These remarkable qualities are what made Edward G. Bojorquez, her second husband, fall in love with her. Edward and Guadalupe spent 30 beautiful years together where they built incredible memories and a home in Monterey Park. In her later years, Guadalupe enjoyed frequenting her senior’s clubs, bingo, dances, lunches, and concerts, always in style. Guadalupe cultivated friendships of over 40 years, where weekly dinners and endless laughs were customary. Guadalupe will be missed by many, but her love of life and adventure shall carry on through her legacy of her six children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who in fact, would not be who they are today without Guadalupe.
She leaves behind her loving family: Daughters: Leonor Garcia Vazquez and Teresa Garcia, Sons: Jaime Garcia, Salome Garcia, Rogelio Garcia and Marcelo Garcia, along with other family and friends who will love and miss her dearly.
Guadalupe was met at Heavens Gate by her loving Husband, Edward G. Bojorquez.
