Marriage
By Hector Lugo
No longer a secret
Love is declared and formalized,
Two people becoming one.
Unanimous--from Latin
Unanime--of one soul
Una Alma--
The true definition of love.
I will do for you as I would do for myself
You have become me and I have become you,
One soul.
The state of matrimony is like a ship
In the stormy and passive sea of life,
Whomever the captain,
You are the master of your soul.
May the lighthouse from within
Guide your life and love,
Swallowing the bitter tears of life,
In order not to allow strife.
