Hector Javier Nunez

Hector Javier Nunez, 72, was born in Mexico City on September 13, 1939 and passed away in Monterey Park, Ca. on May 7, 2012.
Hector was previously a floor mechanic in the flooring industry for 50 years. He was a world class sky diver and was the 1965 Runner Up in the National Championships. He was in 3 World sky diving meets and was the National Coach of the Mexico sky diving team. Hector was an original member of the Latin Sky Divers Club. He also had a passion for golf and a classical guitarist.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 5-9:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel, with the Vigil Service beginning at 7:00pm.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:00am in the Our Lady of Soledad Church.
He is survived by his companion of 16 years, Alicia Esparza of Monterey Park, his brothers, Victor (Annie) Nunez of Pico Rivera and Fernando (Sally) Nunez of Monterey Park, and his sister, Maria E.(Manuel) Angulo of Montebello. He alsp leaves his sister-in-law, Irma Nunez of Monterey Park and many nieces and nephews.
Interment/Graveside will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 11:30am at Calvary Mausoleum 4201 Whittier Blvd.,Los Angeles, CA 90022
