Helen Elizabeth Burchell, 91, was born in Boulder, Colorado and passed away on September 4, 2013 in Buena Park, CA. She was born to Frank J. Knemeyer and Mabel Weinrich. Helen had resided in Montebello since 1968 and was a member of the Beverly Hospital Guild for 14 years.
Helen loved to go to the Sprint car races with my dad, loved fishing, traveling cross country to visit family and sight seeing. She enjoyed watching her
grandchildren play sports, going on road trips to the mountains and to Mexico. She also liked to sew, play solitaire, read and do crossword puzzles.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church with interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be a brief viewing prior to the Mass from 10:00-10:45 AM.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann (Charles) Higuera of Laverne and her son, Gary (Darla) Burchell of Riva, Maryland, and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Burchell of San Diego. She also leaves 6 granchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Helen is preceeded in death by her husband, Arlo Charles Burchell and her son, Charles Burchell.
