Ignacio Elizarraraz, 90, was born in Mexico on July 31, 1921 and passed away in Montebello on July 17, 2012. Ignacio was previously the owner of a TV sales and service repair shop for 40 years.
Ignacio served his country in the United States Army and Navy during WWII and was given an Honorable Discharge. He will be given military honors at graveside. He loved to go on family outings, especially outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. He also enjoyed anything related to history, such as watching documentaries, listening to music and reading about history.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 5-9:00 pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel, with a Catholic Vigil at 6:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 9:00 am at St. Benedict Church will interment following at Resurrection Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Elizarraraz of Montebello, his son, Steve Chia of Windsor, Ca., his daughter, Susan Chia of Santa Rosa, Ca. and his son, Miguel Elizarraraz of Montebello. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and his sisters, Rosario Lundin of La Habra, and Dolores and Carmel Elizarraraz, both of East Los Angeles.
