Irma Marie Tristan, 70, was born in El Paso, TX on June 12, 1947 and passed away in Montebello, CA on October 19, 2017. She was born to Salvador Guerrero Jr and Elizabeth (Schaffino) Guerrero, both of TX. Irma was previously a Paralegal in the Legal industry for 30 years.
Irma was a very straight forward, no nonsense kind of lady! She never worried about other people’s opinions, she lived her life exactly the way she wanted, with the truest kind of faith & love she could give. She often said that she had only had two true loves in her life, her children and her “gorgeous one Gabriel”. Everyone could see that Gabriel was her whole heart, her true love. It was as if they weren’t complete until they found each other. Her love for Gabriel had no limits or boundaries and now their love will be eternal in heaven! Irma was strong and talented both professionally and personally. She had a big heart, if she could have she would’ve saved the world. She often did legal work for family & friends for free. If Irma cared for you, then you were considered “family”. She often put family before herself. She loved to listen to oldies, singing along and dancing. She enjoyed her visits from family & friends talking about old times, sharing stories and hearing about their lives. She was a great listener. She was often our strength in times of need, our encouragement when we needed a push in the right direction or a kick in the pants.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Carolyn Delgado of Pico Rivera, son, Stephen A. Guerrero of Rosemont, CA, step sons, Gabriel Tristan Jr, Jesse Tristan and Ernest Tristan and her grandchildren, Nicholas and Jonathan Delgado of Pico Rivera, Miguel Cardenas of Crestline, Alexander and Stephanie Guerrero, both of Rosemont, CA. She also leaves her great grandson, Nicholas Ulysses Delgado of Riverside, her Goddaughter, Christy Flores and her great nephews, Isaiah and Jacob Flores, all of Azusa. Irma is predeceased by her husband, Gabriel Tristan, her son, Martin Cano and her granddaughter, Katrina Marie Cano.
