Israel David Moreno
September 16, 1978 — February 10, 2023
Our beloved son Israel David Moreno, “Pollo”, went to be with the Lord on February 10th, 2023. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and close friends. Israel was born September 16th, 1978, at Kaiser Hospital Bellflower, California. His life from birth was a life with many challenges and bountiful miracles.
On April 10th, 1989, he underwent a kidney transplant surgery and received a kidney from his mother. A gift of life from God that allowed Israel a better quality of life.
Israel loved spending time with his family, playing with his niece and nephew at every opportunity. He enjoyed vacations, especially camping and family trips. He had many friends and enjoyed his days spent at Inland Adult Development Center. But most of all he loved attending and being involved in church activities. He was active in the worship team. Worship was “his happy place”.
The family of Israel would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to extended family, close friends, and church family for your prayers and support through these difficult times. We’d also like to thank the numerous healthcare professionals that assisted Israel throughout his life from Children’s Hospital LA, Pomona Valley Medical Center to Loma Linda University Hospital during his last days.
Israel is survived by his loving family: Parents - Israel and Elizabeth, his younger Brother - Samuel (and Veronica) Moreno, Niece and Nephew - Sophia Audrey Moreno and Lucas Xavier Moreno, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Israel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The memorial service will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at 7:00 pm Agape Christian Center, Pico Rivera, CA. The graveside service and burial will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 12:00 pm Oak Park Cemetery Claremont, CA.
