James Ellis Mckercher
April 17, 1926 — April 17, 2012
James Ellis McKercher, 86, was born in Parker, So. Dakota on August 23, 1925 and passed away in Redlands, Ca. on April 17, 2012. He served his country in the United States Navy and was given an Honorable Discharge.
James was previously employed with Prudential Insurance as an Insurance Agent for 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved when they would come to visit him. The things he enjoyed most in life were playing gin rummy, dominos and poker. He loved to camp and fish, go off-roading, and driving with Uncle Moe and long and short drives with Patty. He loved to watch western series and in general, loved "TV land."
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 9:00am at the DePaul Center, 1105 S. Bluff Rd., Montebello, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30am, also at the DePaul Center. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Timothy McKercher of Whittier and Charles McKercher of Fullerton and his daughters, Kathleen Phillips of Auburn, Ca. and Eileen Davy of Alta Loma. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
