Jean Corrin Morris
May 19, 1923 — August 24, 2021
Jean Corrin Morris passed away peacefully on August 24, 2021 at the age of 98. She is survived by her seven children Connie Adelson, Tod Corrin, Christie Bacon, John Morris, Jeff Morris, Virginia Morris and Kathleen Frachon. Jean was lovingly called “Grammy” by her 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Born in Glendale to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hartman, she lived her entire life in California. Jean graduated from Glendale High School and Occidental College. Married to Philip Corrin until his passing in 1965 and for 48 years to William Morris Jr until his passing two years ago. Jean taught elementary school after college until she started a family.
Jean loved to dance and won many dance competitions to big band music during her school years. Playing bridge was her favorite pastime, making many wonderful lifetime friends. Much of her time was spent planning special times and vacations for family and friends. Jean was a member of PEO for many years and formerly a member of the Occidental College Board of Trustees and Board of Alumni. Also spent many hours volunteering for numerous organizations including AAWU and her church.
