Joan Carol Lueke

Joan Carol Lueke, age 90, passed away peacefully at Downey PIH on September 11, 2023. She was born on February 5, 1933 in Los Angeles. Joan was married to Joseph "Conrad" on May 5, 1956. They were happily married for 46 years until Conrad’s death in 2002.
Joan was a devoted mother to her five children: Danette Buckley, Laura Kramer, Barbara Mall-Brooks, Christopher Lueke (deceased), and Stephen Lueke. She was also a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren.
Joan was a founding parishioner of St. Raymond's Catholic Church. She dedicated countless hours to volunteering at the church, volunteering 4 mornings per week up to the day she went into the hospital. Joan Carol Lueke was well-loved by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Raymond's Catholic Church, in Downey on Saturday, October 28 at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joan's name to DSDN- Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network or a charity of your choice.
Joan's spirit and love will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed.
