Jonathan Alan Stewart, 41, of Los Angeles, California, entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2024. Born on September 22, 1982, in Long Beach, California, Jonathan was the beloved son of Randolph Alan Smith and Linda Stewart.

Jonathan began his distinguished career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in 2006 as a Custody Assistant. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and skill, he graduated from academy class #364 a year later. Throughout his career, Jonathan honorably served the residents of Los Angeles County, initially at the Inmate Reception Center and, starting in 2014, at the South Los Angeles Station. In 2020, he was promoted to Field Training Officer, a testament to his expertise and leadership. Over the years, Jonathan became highly respected by his peers and supervisors for his unwavering commitment and selfless service to the South Los Angeles community.

Jonathan was not only a dedicated officer but also a devoted family man. He cherished every moment spent with his family, particularly enjoying adventures with his beloved wife and quality time with his children. Known for his kindness, selflessness, and supportiveness, Jonathan's impact on his family and friends was profound. He will be missed deeply and remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jonathan is survived by his loving family: his wife Leslie, sons Brody, Aiden, and Caleb, his mother Linda, and his father Randolph. His absence will be felt deeply by his family, friends, and colleagues.

As we mourn his passing, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the entire Sheriff’s Department. Heaven has indeed gained a new angel. Jonathan will be forever loved and never forgotten.
