Jose I. Mendoza

Jose I. Mendoza, 63, was born in Mexico on December 25, 1947 and passed away in Downey on September 5, 2011. He had resided in Bell Gardens for 50 years.
Mr. Mendoza was previously employed with JPM Glass as a Glazer for 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, construction of all types, loved his three dogs, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 5-9:00pm in the Risher Mortuary Chapel and Reception Center, 1316 Whittier Bl., Montebello. A Catholic Vigil will be held the same night at 7pm also at the Mortuary. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 9:00am at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, 7025 Garfield Ave., Bell Gardens. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Mr. Mendoza is survived by his loving wife, Amelia Mendoza of Bell Gardens, his children, Armando Mendoza of Chino, Robert Mendoza of Paramount, Pedro Mendoza of Bell Gardens, and his daughters, Rosie, Lourdes and Patricia, Diana Cardenas and Carmen Lopez, both of San Jacinto, Armando Jose Mendoza of Bell Gardens and Armando Figueroa of Hemet, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandaughter. He also leaves his brothers and sisters, Frances Schoeber of La Mirada, Lucia Penilla of Upland, Daniel Mendoza of Garden Grove, Lupito Mendoza of Long Beach, Pedro, Juan and Arturo Mendoza, all of Bell Gardens, Salvador Mendoza of Ontario and Angelina Carrasco of Bell Gardens.
