Joseph Luis Rivera
July 18, 1946 — May 19, 2022
Joseph Luis Rivera, 75, was born on July 18, 1946, in Puerto Rico to Santiago Rivera and Zoraida Perez, and entered into eternal rest on May 19, 2022, in Long Beach, California.
Joseph dedicated over 46 years of science as a chemist developing environmentally safe industrial coatings. He started his own paint manufacturing business and was a pioneer in water-based tech and nanotechnology. Currently, NASA has been testing his aerospace coating which was found to be 3X greater in the deflection of radiation then anything NASA has developed.
Joseph is survived by his loving family: Wife, Maria Diana Rivera, Sons, Reinaldo Perez and his wife Carol, Vincent Ambrosino and his wife Brenda, Joseph Douglas Rivera, and Phillip David Rivera, 18 Grandchildren, Siblings, Wilfred Rivera and his wife Rosina, and Carmen Luz Rivera, along with other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Joseph is laid to rest with his brother, Marcelo Rivera, daughter-in-law, Tamara Rivera, and his granddaughter, Tatiana Rivera, awaiting that glorious day when Christ will resurrect them to eternal life. Marcelo, Tamara, and Tatiana Rivera preceded Joseph in death.
