Josephine R. Cano, 101, was born in Mexico on March 10, 1911 and passed away on May 11, 2012.
Josephine aka Pepa was like a flower always in bloom. She was a constant vibrant woman who brought joy almost immediately to all that knew and met her. Her joy was spending time with her family and adoring grand, great and great great grandchildren. She enjoyed salt water fishing and watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. She called them 'My Games'. She will always be remembered for her great tasting apple and banana pancakes and making her yummy fresh home made flour tortillas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 4-8:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel, with the Vigil service held at 7:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Mariana de Parades Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, David and Joe Gallardo, both of Pico Rivera, 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Ralph Romero of Montebello.
