Joyce Mae Hennessee, 83, was born in Walters, Oklahoma on November 4, 1929 and passed away in Pomona on November 24, 2012. She had been a resident of Montebello for over 60 years. Joyce was previously employed as an Executive Secretary for 45 years, working both in the aerospace and petroleum industries.
Joyce loved the outdoors and fishing and fowl hunting were her passion. She was a member of the Newport Harbor Lady Anglers, the Balboa Angling Club and Ducks Unlimited. She shared this passion with her sweetheart and companion of 43 years, Rollie Kienzle. Joyce was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Allheart IL Chapter 3000, the Elks Lodge, the Glendora Rod & Reel Club and the So. Bay Lady Anglers. She was very involved with the Mended Hearts, Montebello Chapter.
Viewing will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 4:00-8:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:00 am also in the Risher Chapel, with a lunch reception following. Interment will be private at Park Lawn Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Bob) Kolmos of Chino and her grandaughters, Kris (Jim) Burdett of Chino and Dyan (Rick Zolozabal) Dupree of Ontario. She also leaves two great grandchildren, Jessi and Cori Burdett.
