Juan Zago, 88, was born on February 18, 1934 in Chipilo, Puebla, Mexico to Fernando Zago Montagner and Margarita Precoma Bortolotti. Juan Zago entered into eternal rest on December 4, 2022 in Alhambra, California.
Juan was kind, giving, and loud. He helped many people and made lifelong friends throughout his life and career. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed winemaking (his Merlot and Pinot Noir were fantastic); woodworking (especially models of vintage automobiles); and painting, mostly watercolors, his lighthouses were personal favorites of many. He loved to dance and was involved in several community organizations, including the Italian Catholic Federation (two-time past president of the San Gabriel chapter), a member of the Alhambra/San Gabriel Elks, and a volunteer for Special Olympics, Los Angeles.
Juan is survived by his wife Celia Zago, Son, Fernando Zago, Daughters, Martha Wille, Caroline Zago, Diane Zago Martin, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Juan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
