Julia Aguirre

Julia Aguirre, 82, was born in Whittier, CA on December 9, 1932 and passed away in Montebello, CA on February 15, 2015, where she had been a long time resident. She was a wonderful homemaker for her family for over 64 years. She was one of fourteen children.
After graduating from Whittier high school, she married Santiago at the age of 18. Shortly after she had a daughter, Emma, followed by a son Tommy. Throughout her life Julia enjoyed many activities such as playing bingo, listening to Elvis, cheering for the Dodgers and watching movies (especially scary movies and Westerns). Julia was often sought out in conversations because of her wisdom, warm demeanor and valuable advice.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Emma Brickner of Montebello, her son, Thomas Aguirre of Downey, her granddaughters, Erin Brickner of Sherman Oaks, Brittany Brickner of Montebello Arlee Aguirre of Rancho Cucamonga, Jessica Aguirre and Elizabeth Aguirre, both of Downey.
She also leaves her brothers, Joe Garcia of Montebello, Manuel Garcia of Whittier and her sisters, Juanits Cordova of Montebello, Ramie Morales of Whittier and Rosie Garcia of Pico Rivera, numerous nieces and nephews and her dog Mocha.
