Kenny Talbert Star

Kenny T. Star was born to Ruby Reado and Johnny Semien on November 28, 1954 in Lake Charles, LA. He remained in Louisiana until he reached the age of 6, then together with his sister, Erica, and accompanied by family, relocated to Los Angeles, CA where he attended 68th Street Elementary School, Bethune Junior High School, and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1937. Later, while working at the King/ Drew Medical Center as a painter, Kenny met and became good friends with Lorraine Sanders, then dated for a few years before marrying in 2003. Kenny was well-known at the King/ Drew Medical Center, he was always upbeat with a warm smile, as well as very loving, comical, caring, and compassionate, and he enjoyed spending time with family. He also enjoyed shopping, dining out, walks at Santa Monica Beach, Lottery scratchers, and watching the latest TV news reports, The Price Is Right, Let's Make A Deal, and House Hunters. His favorite color was black.

Kenny is survived by his loving Wife, Lorraine J. Star, Children, Kenny Talbert Jr (Araceli) and LaTascha Talbert, Parents, Ruby Brown and Johnny Semien, Grandson, Mahlon Robertson, Siblings, Erica Yates (John) and Temmie Brown, Nephews, John Yates Jr. (Kendra) and Taejon Brown, Nieces, Tiffany Yates-Maae (Anderson) and Aujinay Brown, Step-daughters, Laraina Bernardez and Demia Bernardez, Step-son, Donaldo Bernardez Jr, Sister-in-law, Sheila Mosley, Brothers-in-law, Eric Sanders (Regina), Percy Sanders, and Davon Sanders. Along with many other family, extended family, and friends.
