Larry Waldo Headen, Jr., 61, was born on January 28, 1963, in Bronx, New York to Larry Waldo Headen and Faye Brenda Shipman, and entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2024, in Santa Monica, California.
Larry worked in the security industry as a security guard. His presence and dedication will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working with him.
Larry is survived by his loving family: Wife, Michelle Headen of North Carolina, Sons, Anthony McPhatter (Sherri), Joseph Headen, and Isaac Headen, all of North Carolina, Grandchildren, AJ McPhatter and Amiya McPhatter of North Carolina, Siblings, Kevin Jackson (Tiffany) of Georgia, Cheryl Morrison (David) of North Carolina, William Headen (Yumika) of Georgia, James Headen of Texas, Eunice Harris (Molden) of North Carolina, and Mary Headen of South Carolina, along with a host of cousins, friends, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Larry was reunited at the gates of Heaven by his parents, Faye Headen and Larry Headen Sr.
Visitation Services will be held on Friday, August 23rd from 6:00-8:00 pm at Spaulding Chapel AME Zion Church in West End, NC. Funeral Services will also take place at the church on Saturday, August 24th from 3:00-4:30pm with interment following at Academy Heights Memorial Cemetery. Purcell Funeral Home is assisting the family in NC.
