Lawrence Micheal Borg, fondly known as Larry, was born on February 22, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. He lived a life characterized by commitment, compassion, and a dedication to family and his profession. Larry passed away on March 28, 2025, in Lakewood, California, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by many.
For over 15 years, Larry served as an office manager for an oil and chemical company, where his organizational skills and leadership were highly valued by his colleagues. His professional life was marked by diligence and integrity, setting a standard for others to follow.
Larry’s commitment to service extended beyond the workplace; he proudly served in the Army for three years, embodying the values of loyalty and dedication to his country. This period of his life contributed to the strong character and work ethic that he carried throughout his time on earth.
In his younger days, Lawrence found peace and happiness in the great outdoors. He was an avid camper and hiker, always seeking the beauty of nature, and could often be found on the open road, riding his motorcycle. His love for adventure also extended to NASCAR, where he was a devoted fan, enjoying the thrill of the race with enthusiasm.
Lawrence had a special affinity for chocolate, a sweet treat he couldn’t resist, and spent countless hours restoring his beloved 1970 Barracuda, a project that reflected his meticulous attention to detail and his love for classic cars.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Darlene Borg of Lakewood, California, along with their daughter, Tanya Consalvi (Mark), residing in Artesia, California. Larry was a proud grandfather to Luca Consalvi of Artesia, California, who brought immense joy to his life.
Larry is also survived by his three sisters: Donna Hubbard (Mark) of Highland, Michigan, Deborah Dolkowski (Larry) of Highland, Michigan, and Denise DeWitt (Shane) of Morristown, Tennessee.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Betty Borg.
Though he will be profoundly missed, Larry’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered fondly by those he touched throughout his life.
