On Saturday, August 12, 2017, widower, father of three, grandfather of seven, and great-grandfather of five, Larry Kachaturian passed away at age 89. Larry was born in East Los Angeles, California to parents Aram and Sonia Kachaturian. He grew up in East Los Angeles and graduated from Garfield High School. He was part of the livestock club and reflected back on those days quite often. He served in the Korea war.

Amongst his many occupational duties his most successful was co-owning a car dealership, Covina Dodge back in the 1980’s.

He enjoyed working in his yard for hours and loved to vacation down in Laguna Beach at Surf and Sand. He loved to take care of his family and was a great provider. He was a jokester and loved to make people laugh with his dry sense of humor. He loved to reminisce about the past especially his many stories of army days and celebrity spotting’s back in the good ole’ hay days of Hollywood.

Larry married his wife, Peggy Louise Agajanian, and lived in San Gabriel with Peggy until her passing in June 2012. They were married for 54 years. They had three daughters, Karen, Kim, and Kathy. He is survived by his three daughters and son-in-law Lloyd Pulley; grandchildren Jeremy Pulley, Jessica Pulley Panierello (Mike), Noel Kachaturian, Seth Lawrence (Avelina), Harmony Lawrence, Megan Billingsley (Ted), Levi Lawrence; great grandchildren, Riley Panariello, Kayden Panariello, Trevor Panariello, Ezra Lawrence, and Asher Lawrence.

He will be missed especially his sense of humor and the many hours of seeing him in his later years enjoying Lawrence Welk and Westerns.

The family will be holding an all-day open-house on Friday (18th) and Saturday (19th) at the home of Larry Kachaturian in San Gabriel for all who want to come and pay their respects. Please call 909-569-4035 or 626-731-2495 for the address.
