Lawrence Richard Lorenzana Profile Photo
Lawrence Richard Lorenzana, known to everyone as 'Dicky,' was born in Los Angeles on August 26, 1933 and passed away in Whittier on May 14, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.

Dicky wore many hats in his lifetime such as bellhop, Navy cook, musician, machine operator, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. These experiences no doubt were the root of many stories and jokes. All throughout his life Dicky enjoyed playing music. Dicky had the privilege of working with many great musicians since his teenage years. He loved playing piano, Latin percussion, vibes and most of all singing. No matter if he was attending a wedding or just at a gathering, if there was a microphone he always volunteered to sing. His passion for life resonated with his passion for music. Dicky mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Seeing everyone around him happy made him happy.

Dicky is survived by his loving wife, Maria Luisa Lorenzana of Whittier, his sons, John (Diana) Novela of Huntington Beach, Tomas (Maria) Novela of La Habra, Alex Lorenzana of Lancaster and Francis Dean (Ana) Lorenzana of Altadena. He also leaves 11 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and his sister Mary Margaret Puga of Whittier.
