Lawrence "Larry" Medeiros was born June 3, 1935 in South Kona, Hawaii to John and Annie Medeiros and entered into rest September 4. 2017 in Downey, California.
Larry attended High School at Konawaena High and after graduation joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Burtonwood Air Force Base in England. While stationed at Burtonwood he met his future wife Myrtle "Pam" Mullins. Soon after he was transferred to Chateauroux, France where he began boxing and became the Military Champion of France for Welter Weight. In October 1958 he was Honorably discharged from the Air Force and returned to Hawaii. In December 1958 he returned to England for his Bride and he and Pam were married on January 1959. Together they are the proud Parents of Larry, Lyle, Lisa and Lee and Grandparents to 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Throughout his life he pursued an education and though there were many delays due to earning a living and caring for his beloved family he finally earned his Master's Degree at the age of 59. The last 23 years of his working life he was with the Department of Defense as their Chief Inspector for the radar systems on the B2 Bombers and other military aircraft's.
In 2002, Larry and Pam retired and for eight wonderful years they enjoyed traveling and precious time with their family until his health begin to fail. With a true warriors heart he fought bravely until the Lord called him home on September 4, 2017.
