1942 – 2012
Linda Javaheri passed away surrounded by family and friends in Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California on November 2, 2012 after suffering a severe stroke.
Linda was born in London, England on October 2, 1942. She was 15 years old when she got her first job at Textiling Company. Linda did not like England's cold weather and decided to move to sunny California in the summer of 1963.
Upon arriving in California, she immediately started working and making friends. She met her future husband Jamshid (Jimmy) Javaheri in 1964. Linda and Jamshid were married in 1965 and had two sons, Cameron and Kevin.
In 1974, Jamshid and Linda opened the first of three restaurants together. Linda was very active in managing the restaurants as well as raising their sons. After 33 years of marriage, Linda and her husband divorced in 1998, but remained friends, and Linda continue working at Jimmies Family Restaurant in the city of Montebello, CA. Linda was tired of the restaurant business and as a result, she closed "Jimmie's Restaurant" after 22 years of being open. Linda was full of energy and life. She went on to become her son Kevin's caregiver.
Linda's favorite pass time was going to casinos, crafts, and having a cigarette & coffee with Cameron.
Linda is survived by sons, Cameron and Kevin, ex-husband Jamshid Javaheri, brothers, Richard and Michael Smith, sister, Jenny Smith, and ten nieces and nephews.
As Linda use to say, "Don't regret anything you do in life, because in the end, it makes you who you are".
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel, followed by a reception at Ozzie's Restaurant.
