Lucy Gonzalez, 82, was born in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska on December 23, 1930 and passed away in West Covina, California on February 15, 2013. Lucy was previously employed with Vlasic Foods as a Food Processor for 30 years.
Lucy loved to travel, especially to Mexico and Hawaii. She enjoyed driving her old Camaro and would take off to Las Vegas at a moments notice. She loved food, dancing and growing all colors of roses in her rose garden. Lucy knitted all kinds of clothing, but her family loved it when she knitted booties for them every Christmas. Her most favorite thing to do with her family was to tell jokes.
A Catholic Vigil and Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 12:00pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery.
Lucy is survived by her daughters, Martha (Stephan) Underhill of Ontario, Lydia Chavez and Theresa Trujillo, both of El Monte, Irma (Vince) Calderon of Baldwin Park and Norma (Raul) Alegria of Lancaster, and her son, Juan (Anna) Gonzalez of Los Angeles. She also leaves 21 grandchildren , 35 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson: her sister, Anita Angulo of Pasadena, and her brothers, Raul (Jeannie) Angulo of Victorville, Alex (Lupe) Angulo of La Puente and Joe (Gloria) Angulo of Los Angeles.
