He was born August 4,1928 in Chihuahua, Mexico. The third son of Jovita and Jesus Galicia. He was preceded by Jesus and Jose. Followed by Martha the youngest.
He came to California when he was 17 to live with his brother Jesus in Boyle Heights. He worked for Ideal Wire Works and Farmer John in Vernon before becoming a business owner. In his youth he loved to play handball at Hazard Park. He loved spending time with his family. He was a sports fan. Following the Dodgers, Lakers, and boxing.
Luis is survived by his loving children: Luis Galicia of Los Angeles; Adela Salgado of Corona; Robert Garcia of Houston, TX; Giselle Galicia of Riverside; and Kimberly Galicia of Montebello. He also leaves behind his brother, Jesus Galicia of Rosemead, and sister, Martha Torres of Hacienda Heights. He was a loving grandfather, blessed with 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
