Luisa Maria Estrada, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, passed away on March 31, 2025, in La Mirada, California, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love. Born on August 23, 1944, in Cuba, Luisa charmed everyone she met with her vibrant personality and captivating storytelling.

Luisa was truly the life of the party. Her joyous spirit was infectious, and she had a remarkable ability to draw people in with her tales, often keeping friends and family captivated for hours. She cherished the holidays and took great pleasure in organizing and scheduling celebrations, ensuring that every gathering was memorable. Her artistic talents as a painter, knitter, and crafter added to the vibrant tapestry of her life, showcasing her creative flair.  Family was the most important thing to Luisa, and she would spend hours crafting gifts and goodies to give to her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Marie Huerta and Terry Estrada, who carry forward her spirit of kindness and storytelling. Luisa also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Lissette Carlson, Melissa Balder, and Michael Huerta, her delightful great-grandchildren, Kaison Balder and Valerie Huerta, her cherished sister, Rosa Elena Dominguez, and her devoted sons-in-law, Hugo Huerta and Carlos Marrero.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Angel Vito Zaro, and her parents, Luis Lafont and Dulce Fleites, who welcomed her with open arms at Heaven's Gates.

Her visitation will be held on April 14, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary starting at 5:00 PM at Risher Mortuary & Cremation Service in Montebello, California. A graveside service will follow on April 15, 2025, starting at 11:30 AM at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California.

Luisa Maria Estrada will be deeply missed but will forever remain a treasured figure in the hearts of her loved ones, remembered for her boundless love, joyful spirit, and the countless stories that will continue to echo through the lives she touched.  Condolences may be sent to the family through our website.
