Manuel Diaz, age 85, was born in Mesa Arizona on August 21, 1929 and entered into eternal rest in Montebello, California on December 19, 2014. He previously worked as a machinist for over 25 years. He was born to Francisco Diaz and Antonia Gerardo.
Manuel was a coach for little league for about 5 years at Grant Rae Park and he was a member of the Montebello Elks Lodge for 15 years. His favorite baseball team was the L.A. Angels and the Rams when they were in L.A. The UCLA Bruins were his favorite college football team and he was a true fan.
Manuel is survived by his daughter Denise M. Carta of Yorba Linda, his son Manuel Diaz Jr. of Los Angeles and his 3 grandchildren Chanelle Diaz, Danielle Diaz and Ryan Carta. He Also leaves behind his sister Alice Caldera of Hacienda Heights. He is predeceased by his wife, Gloria Eva Diaz, who passed away in 1973 and together they were married for 17 years.
