Margaret Denton was born in Los Angeles, California on August 8, 1930
and passed away on November 20, 2019 at the age of 89.
She was met at Heaven's Gate by her husband of sixty years, Sylvester Denton.
Margaret kept her family first above all the demands in her life and maintained a deep Catholic faith through daily prayer.
Always dressed to impress, she had a keen eye for style and fashion and extolled a simple elegance.
An active woman, she was an avid bridge player, a golfer who earned a hole-in-one prior to her husband, enjoyed dancing with her husband, traveling and spending time with her family.
Margaret and Syl traveled all over the world, embracing adventure and learning.
As a young woman, Margaret was selected to ride on a float in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California wearing the swimsuit of the famous competitive swimmer and actress , Esther Williams.
She was actively involved in leadership roles in mother's clubs throughout her daughters education.
Margaret is survived by her daughters Diane (Steve) Malcoun of Stockton, Ca., Debra (George) Stephan of Encino, Ca., and Lisa (William) Barkett of La Jolla, Ca. and seven grandchildren.
Margaret's life will be honored privately with her family, per her wishes.
