Margaret Hynes Hartwig was born to William and Irma (Philip) Hynes on January 30, 1940 in New York and entered into eternal rest on October 13, 2016 at her home in Arcadia, California. She was 76 years old. Margaret was a Master Herbalist for over 25 years.

Margaret is survived by her three loving children; daughter Dawn (Bill) Richcreek of Arcadia, son Kris (Kampoey) Edinger of Phoenix, Arizona, son Craig (Huyen) Edinger of Mesa, Arizona and six grandchildren; Shaylyn (Nikil) Adi of Sydney, Australia, Melissa Edinger of Phoenix, Arizona, Nicole Richcreek of Fullerton, David Phan of Mesa, Arizona, Katie Richcreek of Arcadia and Bridget Edinger of Mesa, Arizona. She also leaves behind her brother William (Sylvia) Hynes of Harmony, Maryland and her three nephews; Darren Hynes of Los Angeles, Drew Hynes of Washington, DC and Russell Hynes of Maryland.

What made her happy:
• Loved to talk to people, very social.
• Loved to listen & learn about other people’s lives.
• Loved different cultures.
• Loved to follow politics, Fox News.
• Loved to go on road trips. Yosemite, Grand Canyon, lighthouses, anywhere fun.
• Loved adventure.
• Loved to help people.
• Loved “Star Trek” television series & movies.
• Loved to walk, “I love to walk” or “all that walking” she would say so proudly.
• Loved her cat “little bits”.
• Loved her family.

What are mom’s hobbies? This is a tough question to answer because she had so many throughout her life. She was always looking for “a new game” she would say.
Mom’s creative words of wisdom:
• “If you create what you want and don’t create against it then you will get it.”
• After her divorce “the way we can survive is if we work together as a team”
• If you’re having a difficult time she would ask you, “what can you appreciate about that?”
• Mom used to always say to us kids “we all get along because we never tell each other what to do”.
• When faced with making a decision, mom would tell herself “I lose myself in vacillation”. She would then just make a decision and see how it felt. If felt good, then would go with it.
