Maria Elena Basabilvazo

Maria Elena Basabilvazo, 82, was born on August 16, 1930 in Durango, Mexico and passed away on November 25, 2012 in Claremont, Ca. following a lengthy illness. Her son was by her side when she passed.
In the early 60's she married Ramon Basabilvazo in El Paso, Texas then in 1964 they had their only son Rick. They all settled down in Los Angeles, California in 1970 where they raised their son and she dedicated herself to being a homemaker.
Mrs. Basabilvazo enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Later in life she treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking with, and for them. She was very loyal and loving to her family and friends.
A traditional service celebrating Maria Elena Basabilvazo's life will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Vigil at 7:00 pm at Risher Montebello Mortuary. The service will be conducted by her son Rick Basabilvazo. All friends and family are welcome.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 9:00 am at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Montebello.
Mrs. Basabilvazo is survived by her only son, Rick and three grandchildren: Anthony, Nicolas and Natalie.
