Maria Reitmayer

Maria Reitmayer was born in Yugoslavia and raised in Austria. In January of 1956, with the encouragement of her aunt and uncle, Maria and her family decided to come to the United States and settle in California. It was only about 6 months later that the love of her life, Franz Reitmayer followed. They married June 16th of that same year, welcoming their first child, a son, Karl in 1958 and a daughter, Brigitte, in 1961. Maria worked for the Clougherty Meat Packing Co. (known as Farmer John) for almost 35 years. Maria and Franz were married for over 43 years when Franz passed away. They and had a life filled with true love and joy and were a wonderful example of loving parents and role models for their children.

Mom can rest easy now as she has been reunited with the love of her life.

Maria is survived by her loving family: Children, Karl Reitmayer, and Brigitte Reitmayer, as well as her Daughter-In-Law, Melinda Reitmayer, along with other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
