Maria Del Rosario Olivas, 65, was born on April 21, 1948 in Mexicali, Mx. and passed away on September 5, 2013 in Los Angeles, Ca.
Mrs. Olivas was a homemaker for 45 years and lived in Los Angeles for over 50 years. She was a stay at home wife most of her life and loved practicing & preaching her Catholic faith. She was never afraid to talk about God to anyone or help someone in need. Maria truly believed that learning to forgive was the key to happiness. She was always happy, always sharing a smile, loved dancing and playing with her grandchildren. She and her husband, Florentino were always together 24/7, hardly ever apart. There could not have been anyone better for each other. She left her family many lessons to keep practicing. Her family has said that her laughter and her advice will always be their hearts and that they will truly miss her.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 6:00-7:00 pm at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1920 S. Bronson Ave., Los Angeles, Ca. 90018, with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 am also at the church with interment following at Resurrection Cemetery.
Maria is survived by her loving family: husband Florentino, daughters Maria (Arturo) Campos of Los Angeles, Sylvia (Ramiro) Cano of Duarte, sons Jose Olivas of Los Angeles, Daniel (Azucena) Olivas of Norwalk, sisters Guadalupe Saucedo of Commerce, Josefina Bretado of Norwalk, Antonia Saucedo, Tomasa Mota, and Maria Vargas all from Mexico, brothers Norberto Saucedo of San Fernando Valley, Jesus Saucedo. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
