Marie Stepanian
September 1, 1925 — March 15, 2011
Marie Stepanian was born in Novorossisiyk, Russia and passed away in Pasadena, California on March 15, 2011 at the age of 85. Marie immigrated to the United States from Germany with her husband Mike and their three oldest daughters in 1949 via Ellis Island. She and her family eventually settled in Montebello, California in 1957, where she was a resident for over 60 years.
Marie was a housewife and a waitress for decades, until her last employment at Calvary Chapel of Downey Book Store. Her love was for her church and her women's bible study.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Bruno of Downey, and her daughter, Lilly Stepanian. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Mike Stepanian and her daughters, Rosie Rios, Sonia Vartanian & Pearl Stepanian. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Risher Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Glenn Kravig from Calvary Chapel of Downey will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
