Mrs. Marietta Pido Ten was born May 9, 1935 in Manila, Philippines and died on March 29, 2023 in Los Angeles, California. She was 87 years young.
She married Mr. Wayne Yee Ten on May 1, 1960 in the Philippines, then immigrated to California, USA where she lived out the rest of her long life. She led a wonderful career as a second-grade elementary school teacher and reading specialist in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 25 years before an early retirement in 1991.
Marietta enjoyed family vacations, gardening her fruit trees, reading crime novels late into the night, watching Jeopardy and CNN, and petting her four cats. She wore the biggest smile with twinkling eyes, and her sweetest personality touched so many relatives, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and, by the end of her life, even her caregivers.
Sweet Marietta will be dearly missed this side of paradise. May God eternally surround her with love, light, warmth, and peace. Until we are all reunited again.
