Marina Quintana was born on June 12, 1916 in Douglas, Arizona to parents Juan Quintana and Francisca Calderon and passed into eternal rest on June 15, 2015 in Whittier, California. She was 99 years old. Marina loved to go to the Santa Anita Racetrack.
In 1967 for 30 plus years, Marina studied and followed the teachings and healings of Cardinal Joseph Spellman of New York. She was also a member of "A.R.E", (Association for Reaserch and Enlightenment Inc.), founded by, Edgar Cayce. In 1973, Marina befriended Apollo 14 astronaunt Dr. Edgar Mitchell, 6th man to walk the moon. When she became a member of "I.O.N.S" (Institute of Noetic Science), founded by Edgar Mitchell. Noetic Science, is the knowlege and inner understanding beyond our normal senses - The study of mind and Intellect. After the 30 plus years, she slowed down and developed a love for bingo.
Marina is survived by her daughters Lydia Dugan of Santa Fe Springs and Wilma Chastain Castano of Highland, her son, Manuel Contreras of Bethel Island, CA, and her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings; Susie Quintana Laguna of San Diego, Ruben Quintana of Tijuana, Richard Quintana of Phoenix, Hector Quintana of San Diego and Romelia Quintana of Mexico. She is predeceased by her son, Rudy Fontes and her brother, Pol Quintana.
