Martha Peter Korneff
August 12, 1919 — December 23, 2010
Martha (Shubin) Korneff was born in Los Angeles, California. She was the seventh of ten children, and at the age of 91, Martha gently passed away on December 23, 2010.
Martha was married to Austin Korneff for 68 years before his passing in 2008. She leaves behind loving daughter Paula Lidyoff of Downey, grandchildren, Rick and Trina and each of their families that include seven great grandchildren, whose lives have forever been enriched by the time Martha spent sharing with them her many talents and extraordinary cleverness. Martha's surviving sister Kate Petruskin of Whittier and brother Leon Shubin of Bakersfield will miss her.
On Monday, Decemeber 27, 2010 a gathering for the immediate family is scheduled for 2:00pm at the Risher Montebello Chapel, and the Dressing Prayer will follow immedatley at 3:00pm. Visitation for extended family and friends will begin at 4:00pm at the Milikoy Church.
Funeral services and burial will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Russian Molokan Cemetery on Slauson Avenue in Commerce.
