Marvin Glenn Clegg Jr., 73, was born on November 22, 1949 in Los Angeles County, California to Marvin Glenn Clegg and Iris Stella Sawyer. Marvin entered into eternal rest on March 10, 2023 in Whittier, California.
Marvin grew up in Santa Fe Springs, CA and graduated from SF High School in 1967. He then attended Biola in La Mirada, CA for 2 years (from 1967 to 1969) with the dream of becoming a History Teacher before working at Powerine for 10 years and Arco (from 1984 -2000).
From a young age Marvin was very dedicated to his sports, such as Basketball. He would spend so many evenings perfecting his game until he was forced inside due to the dark. His hobbies included anything to do with sports, music (both listening and karaoke), and working out. He also loved traveling to Big Bear, CA and spending time in the mountains.
Marvin was a devoted man of the church. He has been a faithful member of Calvary Chapel Downey for over 20 years. He was a very kind, generous, and hard working man with a big heart. He loved his family dearly, and had always wished he could do more for them.
Marvin is survived by his loving family: Children- Charlene Carrie Clegg-Lujan, Marv Christian Clegg, Cassandra Michelle Busch, Kevin Brandon Clegg, Candice Rose McKinney, Christopher Glenn Clegg, and Tyler Ashley Veloz, Grandchildren- Tyler Robert Clegg, Taylor Aryn Lujan, Star Lynn Clegg, Audrey Gaines, Alyssa Gaines, Ashtyn Gaines, Skyler Clegg, Devin Clegg, Jameson Veloz, Hudson Veloz, and Heather Weir. Marvin is also survived by his siblings- Deborah Karen Brand and Bruce Clegg, 5 great-grandchildren, two nieces, and three nephews. Marvin will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Marvin was reunited at the Gates of Heaven with his granddaughter, Alexandra Harmon.
