Mary Ann Heyer was born in Sedalia, MO on June 27, 1932 and passed away in La Palma, CA on April 1, 2019. She was born to Martin and Minnie (Neil) Hansen of MO.
Family, friends and God were Mary’s passion and joy. She married her high school sweetheart and cherished the family that was created from that love story. She enjoyed gardening, her dog Missy, singing in the church choir, attending bible study and being part of a Woman’s Club. Mary Ann enjoyed being a retail clerk in the clothing retail industry for over 20 years.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the 1st Baptist Church of Downey chapel. Interment will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Riverside National Cemetery.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Jeff) McCaughan of Downey, and her sons, David (Cyndi) Heyer of Brea, and Gary (Fran) Heyer of Indiana. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Gary Jack (Amy) Heyer of Yorba Linda, Dayna (Brett) Humphries of Brea, April (Scott) Kastning of Michigan, Angela (Mark) Rumschik of Michigan, Chelsea (Alan) McClure of Indiana, Darren McCaughan of Downey and 11 great grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Robert (Mary) Hansen of Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ann is predeceased by her husband, Theodore Heyer, married 67 1/2 years. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Raymond, Leonard and Harold Hansen and Verna Mae Embry and Vereena DeSantis.
