Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away on December 3, 2007. Born January 18, 1926 in Liverpool, England and moved to California in 1956
Predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret of 40 years. Survived by his children, Mark (Mary), Brian (Ann), Nancy (Steven), Annie (Dave) and Polly (Rob), 16 grandchildren and his sister Maureen.
He repaired switch boards at Western Electric for over twenty years. He was a fifty year parishioner of Saint Raymond Catholic Church and a long time resident of Downey, California.
He was an avid reader of the classics, current novels, and the daily newspaper. He shared his love of reading with everyone and enjoyed discussing the events and issues of the day with all. Every Saturday, you could find him watching college football. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor which made those around him laugh often. He was loved by too many to ever be forgotten.
Vigil will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 7:00 pm at Risher Downey Chapel, 8365 2nd Street, Downey, California.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 10:00 am at Saint Raymond Catholic Church, Downey, California, with interment following at Calvary Cemetery, Los Angeles, California.
