Michael Stephen Higashi

Michael Stephan Higashi was born in Los Angeles, California to Shiyoji Higashi and Betsy Ikeda. He entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2019 at the age of 64.
With a brave heart and dedication, Michael Higashi served as a police officer for 35 years, most recently as a Lieutenant in the Montebello Police Department, of which he served for 20 years.
Officer Higashi is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn Higashi of La Mirada, and his daughters, Diana Fernandez of Long Beach, and Kathleen Higashi of Palos Verdes. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Montebello Police Department Foundation.
