Milagros Reyes, born December 01, 1943 in the Philippines entered into eternal rest on April 13, 2012 in Montebello, CA.
Milagros is survived by her husband, Angelito Reyes, 1 son, Anthony, both of Montebello, CA and 2 daughters, Mirabelle Reyes of Elizabethtown, KY and Jennifer Kuzman of Mt. Vernon, WA., 4 Grandsons, Nathan DeMuth, Luka, Nicholas and Jacob Kuzman and 1 Grandaughter, Emma Kuzman. She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Tacuyan of Guam, Helen Deloviar of Long Beach, CA, Lourdes Potter of Bremerton, Wa, Virginia Martin also of Bremerton, Wa, and brothers, Danilo Barredo of Lynwood, WA and Francisco Barredo of Guam who predeceased Milagros.
Milagros was well known for Evangelizing for the Legion of Mary. She took care of her disabled son Anthony for many years and was a very devoted wife and mother.
She also was a very creative person who loved floral design and sewing. She especially loved designing and making wedding gowns and also loved to dance.
Milagros worked for many years as a buyer for the retail industry.
She was a business owner and owned Mirabelle's Fashion and Gift in Rosemead, California. Milagros also helped formulate the Disability Act through the Department of Education which eventually ended up being sent to the White House.
She was also a trained massage therapist in which she enjoyed doing for family and friends alike due to it's many healing properties.
Milagros will be greatly missed by all those who's life she touched in so many ways.
Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Monday April 23, 2012, 1:30pm at Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, 555 West Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012 with Interment of the cremains immediately following in their Mausoleum.
