Modesto is survived by his wife Maria Arcelia Zavalza of Downey, daughter Elvia Gonzalez of Compton, daughter Sandra Gonzalez of Los Angeles, son Abel Zavalza of Downey, son Abel Zavalza of Downey, and son Adan Zavalza of Downey. He also leaves behind his grandson Danny Bueno and his granddaughter Elvia Gonzalez.
